Duala (also spelled Douala, Diwala, Dwela, Dualla, and Dwala) is the language spoken by the Duala people of Cameroon. The language belonges to the Bantu language family, and a subgroup of it called the Duala languages. The song "Soul Makossa", as well as pop songs that repeated its lyrics, internationally popularized the Duala word for "(I) dance", "makossa".

This vocabulary list comprises all the words that occur in the Hausar Baka video segments. For items with several English translations, the vocabulary attempts to list all
the translations that the video segments call for, but with only a few exceptions, the list does not include translations which do not come up in the videos even though there may be other common meanings for those words

Turkana is the language of the Turkana people of Kenya, numbering about 340,000.

It is one of the Eastern Nilotic languages, and is closely related to Karamojong, Jie and Teso of Uganda, to Toposa spoken in the extreme southeast of Sudan, and to Nyangatom in the Sudan/Ethiopia Omo valley borderland; these languages together form the cluster of Teso-Turkana languages.

The present Igbo dictionary is a much revised and expanded version of the Igbo dictionary published by Kay
Williamson, Ethiope Press, Benin City in 1972. Professor Williamson died in early January 2005, with it
still unpublished. The revision was prepared in the 1970s and 1980s and was typed camera-ready in a
manuscript submitted to the same publishers in 1983. The publishers first delayed in responding and then
finally admitted they had lost the copy.
